Early Years magazine commissioned Zara Pickens for their Winter issue, for a feature evaluating the first year of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The EYFS is a framework, which sets standards for the development, learning and care of children from birth to five.

The designers at the magazine already had this heart-shaped table concept in mind, so it was down to Zara to bring it to life, in all its cheery colourful glory.
