This Sunday’s New York Times Week in Review section provided a genuine treat for fans of illustration.  Page one was dominated by Edel Rodriguez’s portrait of Obama.. “Is it possible to embrace complexity in a political and media culture that demands simple themes and promotes conflict?”

Inside, Hal Mayforth’s witty illustration accompanied a parody of medical disclaimers, “Warning: Don’t Read the Warning.”

And Stephen Savage provided a series of iconic images for “Uncle Sam Wants You… To Have a Job.”
