Michele Rosenthal prowled thrift stores for inspiration when creating these paintings for a recent show at the Spare Room Gallery. The series, called "Portraits of Strangers," is based on anonymous photos found in second-hand stores. The frames, all lacquered white, are thrift shop finds as well.
