This illustration for the latest issue of AARP Magazine took Jon Reinfurt’s work in a new direction. “It was a bit different working on an image that didn't involve any characters, but I always welcome a new challenge!” says Jon.

The article highlighted the history of four very popular cocktails (the Mojito, Mai Tai, Martini, and Margarita) and the best bars to find each drink.

Jon wound up putting the drinks in a heavenly nighttime setting to give the feeling of being transported to a carefree state of mind. The art director was really happy with the finished piece and asked for four drink icons that could be used in the layout.
