Barbara Gibson's latest book project, "Western Lullaby," involved the stanza by stanza illustration of a song written by Wyoming philanthropist Lynn Estes Friess.

The author was passionate about having her part of the country- as well as the western lifestyle- portrayed in the book. The whole book is a bedtime lullaby that was written by the author for one of her ten grandchildren; each stanza dictated or defined the content of each of the 15 double page illustrations.

"The concept and design of each spread, beyond the parameters set forth by the song itself, were mine," says Barbara. "The only exception was the cover, which I felt should be a prelude to what was being conveyed by the song lyrics."

The book package includes an audio CD of the bedtime lullaby performed by western singer/songwriter Marilee Gordon.
