Chris Whetzel was super-excited to do this assignment for this year’s MLB All-Star Game after creating the images for 2010's World Series program. The article was a "who's who" of pitchers and their stats, and the AD wanted to work in a manner that was metaphoric of all of the league's pitchers.

“After some discussion, we decided to use the pitching hand to represent all of the athletes,” explains Chris.  As always, he provided a series of nice, tight sketches to choose from.
