Ruth Rowland was asked to create an illustrated map for the Rose Theatre, Kingston in conjunction with a range of special performances to celebrate their adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's “The Snow Queen.”

Using storytelling and songs, a group of traveling players is performing short adaptations of some of Andersen's fairy tales, creating a magical trail though Kingston's streets. The map shows the route of the four story houses where the events are taking place in the weeks leading up to Christmas.
