A few months ago we wrote about Steven Noble’s beautiful packaging illustrations for the iconic tequila brand, Espolón. Apparently, his work has inspired another artist in an entirely different medium…

Tim Belmont of Pennsylvania was so inspired by Espolón Tequila's new graphic artwork—influenced by Mexico's famed Posoda, whose Dia de los Muertos imagery remains iconic to this day—that he had the label of the Blanco offering tattooed on his calf.

Inked by tattoo artist Trish Sanchez of Valor Tattoo in Trevose, PA, the piece is incredibly intricate and detailed. We hear there are also plans to tattoo the Reposado label on his other calf, come springtime.

Great looking labels. I guess that imitation IS the greatest form of flattery.
