Sean Tiffany checks in with his illustrations for a recent Sports Illustrated Kids “What’s the Call?” feature. Each month Sean is given three different sports scenarios where the reader must make the call on the field and deem if what each player is doing is legal or illegal.

If a BMX rider falls off his bike and then runs the bike across the finish line, can he win?

Can a first baseman hide the ball in his glove and tag out the runner as he takes a lead off the base?

If a goalie in soccer kicks the ball to the side of the field, it hits a rock and goes into the net, does the goal count?
“Sometimes I'll know the answer but, more often than not, I have no idea what the call on the field should be,” Sean admits. “And I'm never given the answer. So, like you, I find out what the call should be once the magazine hits the stands!”
