DANIEL HERTZBERG: SORRY

Daniel Hertzberg’s disturbing image for the Sunday New York Times Book Review illustrates an assessment of “Sorry,” a thriller in which the reader may actually be the serial killer in the story.
“I tried a few sketches with the viewer attacking or at least a part of the action,” says Daniel. “This serial killer nails women to walls, throughout Berlin. So, I tried making this image iconic- with the viewer being nailed. I kept thinking of this as a book cover or a poster.” Sketches are below, including bloody nails on a Berlin map.
