Bill Cigliano was commissioned by Scholastic to illustrate a story on American folk hero Pecos Bill riding a tornado. The tornado was so large it sucked up elephants from Africa and whales from the Indian Ocean. Bill rode it while twirling a lasso made out of two rattlesnakes. A tough dude!
