Chris Beatrice created this painting (in 24 hours from sketch to finish) for the February 13th issue of The Weekly Standard to illustrate a story called “Dances with Wolves,” about a man confronting a somewhat menacing car salesman.

It was important to capture the subject's character and back story, as well as the immediate story that's currently unfolding, namely the potential sale/purchase of a car. The salesman sits behind his desk saying, "Now, if you do exactly as I say, maybe I'll let you have this car..."
