JEAN TUTTLE: IT’S ALWAYS FASHION WEEK SOMEWHERE

March 21, 2014

Jean Tuttle has been commissioned no fewer than three times by the Wall Street Journal to create illustrated logos for Fashion Week. The first set of shown below accompanied their coverage of the recent events held in New York, London, Milan and Paris.

Jean’s simple, chic fashion heads, each wearing different head gear that tied in with the host country, also incorporated colors from that country’s flag.

Jean’s first Fashion Week logos, created in 2013, took the direction of drawing a figure on the runway. Subtle changes in hairstyle, costume and color in each icon made the distinction between each of the four Fashion Week locations and sensibilities.

Fashion Week coverage for the Spring/Summer 2014 collections saw Jean rendering a model’s striding foot in motion, offset by a brighter more spring-like palette.
