When Mattel asked Rob McClurkan to illustrate several of the Pixar characters as tiki gods in less than 24 hours, he jumped at the chance. The mission was to create packaging art for a special action figure/doll of Pixar creative genius John Lasseter for presentation to him at Toy Fair. The theme centered on Mr. Lasseter's legendary love of Hawaiian shirts. (more)
