Father Theodore Hesburgh – USPS Commemorative Stamp 9/1/17

First day of issue was at Notre Dame University, where he was president for 35 years.  Father Hesburgh is acknowledged as the principal architect of the Civil Rights Act and served on the Civil Rights Commission from its inception in 1957 until 1972.
