STEVEN SALERNO: BAKERY SQUARE

May 4, 2010

Steven Salerno's fresh, friendly style earned him a sweet commission for the rollout of Bakery Square in Pittsburgh, PA.  The project is a new development, transforming the former Nabisco factory into a mixed-use center that is quickly filling up with retailers and big-name corporations and institutions.

So far, components of the campaign have included a full page ad, above, as well as temporary "barrier" art at the development site, below. Although it looks small here, the final installed image will be approximately 150 feet long by 20 feet high, which is the equivalent of about 2 stories high and nearly a city-block long!

The barrier art was divided into four panels echoing the four theme words incorporated into the advertising copy: WORK, SHOP, PLAY, STAY.  Which, as far as we're concerned, leaves EAT, PRAY, LOVE miles behind on a dusty corner…

The next stage is finalizing related outdoor lamp post banners and possibly some graphics for web advertising as well.
