JON REINFURT: CONVENE COVER

Jon Reinfurt’s illustrations for the most recent issue of Convene Magazine have a common theme: “terrible meetings,” or more accurately how to breathe life into a bad meeting or convention in order to make it more effective.
The art director wanted to have a really boring meeting depicted on the cover, with the inside feature showing some sort of positive magical transformation. In the end they settled on the idea of a crowd of bored convention attendees as seen from the perspective of the speaker.
The inside illustration shows the transformation of the same audience into a packed crowd of excited and engaged convention goers.
