Joyce Hesselberth & Dave Plunkert’s SPUR Design has just launched a terrific shape-finding and counting app for kids, available on iTunes for $1.99. PrestoBingo Shapes started with a simple idea: the world is full of shapes.

A square isn't just a square. It's a present, a building, a jack-in-the-box, a window. Sometimes it's even something silly, like my brother's head, or a balloon that's not quite right. Shapes are everywhere.

Teach your child to identify basic forms of geometry: circles, ovals, diamonds, semi-circles, squares, trapezoids, triangles, and rectangles. Vibrant illustrations and animations guide the way. Practice counting numbers from 1-20 too!
