CURT MERLO ILLUSTRATION: RECENT EDITORIAL WORK

Curt Merlo’s thought-provoking illustrations seem to flow nonstop. Recent projects include this image for The Washington Post Outlook about the gay rights movement taking on the NRA after the Orlando shootings:

This cover for Sight and Sound magazine illustrates a feature on the Psychological Western as a genre. The classic film, “Johnny Guitar,” which was made during the height of the Cold War, is the basis of the image:
