THIS JUST IN: PETER ARKLE NEWS

Peter Arkle is finishing the latest issue of his self-published newspaper, PETER ARKLE NEWS (PAN), the first issue of which he produced 27 years ago as an an art student in London. "Early issues were just photocopied. In more recent times I started having it printed on proper newsprint, which gives it the tabloid newspaper feel it’s meant to have," explains Peter. PAN contains stories and observations from his everyday life. This new issue, his first since 2011, has a lot about 3rd street in New York City.

"My main aim is to try and write about things that are as boring as possible, while at the same time having some kind of deeper meaning," he says. Issue number 58 should be going to the printer in February. It’s going to be 20 pages long!
