I’m an experienced artist and illustrator with a broad love and interest in creating art of many kinds, including drawing and painting as well as collage and animation. Finding inspiration from the works ranging from the old masters through contemporary abstraction in museums and galleries, I hope to fuse my artistic exposure, experience and abilities into creating something vibrant and new in whatever project I partake in.
As both an illustrator and art director for editorial and advertising, I’ve had the great fortune to work with many talented writers, editors, art directors and designers over the years and I enjoy collaborating with others in bringing new concepts and projects to life.
Select clients include: The Boston Globe, Conde Nast Traveler, The Grammy Awards, The Los Angeles Times,
The New York Times, The San Francisco Chronicle, The Washington Post.
My work has been showcased in numerous publications including Print magazine, “Graphic Wit” (Stephen Heller, 1991) and “Becoming a Digital Designer” (Stephen Heller + David Womack, 2007).
I won a Theater Bay Area award for motion graphics scenic design in 2019 and I’ve received numerous awards from the Society of Publication Designers and the Art Director’s Club for my work at Town & Country magazine.
