For the last several years Tom Richmond has had the honor of doing an illustration for the National Cartoonists Society’s annual Reuben Award Weekend. The artwork, caricatures of the guest speakers and honorees set in the location of the event, is used to adorn the official T-shirt, programs, etc.

This year the Reubens are being held in Jersey City at a hotel on the Hudson overlooking the Manhattan skyline. I briefly toyed with a “Sopranos” or “Jersey Shore” theme, so Tom channeled his inner Sully to round everyone up.
