Jeffrey Smith completed this band portrait of Parquet Courts for Rolling Stone on a two-day deadline. “Four hours to compose it, two hours for the pencil sketch, 16 hours to paint, scan and send,” he recalls. Acrylic inks and watercolor pencil on BFK Rives printmaking paper give it all that soul. (more)
