Jason Seiler’s New Year started with a superfast turnaround cover for the Village Voice.

“I started work around 4:00 a.m. Monday morning, painted all day, took a dinner break and then worked until around 9:00 p.m. I then woke up at 4:00 a.m. Tuesday morning and painted until the deadline, which was 8:00 a.m.” (more)

Michael Morgenstern was recently commissioned by the Writers’ Guild magazine, “Written By,” to illustrate an article about internet freedom. The author compares the web to great inventions of the past. He argues that if the printing press had been placed under strict control, would we have experienced the renaissance that followed?
