Chris Beatrice created the cover art and design for “The King’s Puzzle,” a young adult mystery novel centering on King George VI's historic visit to Canada in 1939. The scene depicts a late night water stop by the locomotive, where thousands of spectators turned out to see the royal train.   (more)

Chris Beatrice was recently commissioned to create poster art for a story about a kindhearted dragon who amasses a small cadre of interesting friends. When the Black Knight comes to slay him, the dragon says, "Let's have some breakfast first," and the two become fast friends - even engaging in a friendly game of chess from time to time.   (more)

Chris Beatrice designed and illustrated the cover for the second book in The Valkyrie Sagas series, “Hel.” The books blend contemporary, real world settings and characters with the gods and creatures of Viking mythology - in this case the goddess Hel, shown here with her vicious hound.

Chris Beatrice produced more than a dozen paintings for an imaginative new adaptation of Oscar Wilde's classic fairy tale, “The Selfish Giant.” The package features an original score recorded by a full symphony orchestra and narration by celebrated British actor Martin Jarvis. (more)

Chris Beatrice created this cover for the first book in a series to be published by Berkley books starting in February of 2011. Not only was this Chris’s fourth or fifth murder-themed project in 2010 (sensing a pattern here?), but this one struck particularly close to home as it takes place in an artists' cooperative that resides in an abandoned apple sauce factory. Spectrum continues to be THE showcase for fantastic and fantasy art—the sheer variety of style, tone, media and subject matter is stunning.
