James O’Brien was commissioned to by the College of Visual Arts to create a cover image for their Lifelong Learning brochure.  James chose to represent learning in an abstract, decorative manner. A pattern from the cover is repeated within the brochure. (more)

Kathryn Rathke combined illustrations from two of her favorite recent jobs to create one dynamic image for an up-coming promotion. “The dancer is from the Pacific Northwest Ballet, which received a $5,000 ‘Genius’ award from The Stranger Magazine,” explains Kathryn. “This was for a modern piece that they commissioned.” (more)

Chris Beatrice created this wraparound cover and interior black and white illustrations for Hyperion's upcoming "Murder Afloat," due out in October.  The story, set on a 19th century oystering vessel, centers on a wealthy boy who unwittingly finds himself conscripted to a harsh life at sea. (more)

Brian Stauffer’s year-long collaboration with art director Dean Sebring on the re-design and launch of the new Worth magazine resulted in a Gold medal at this year’s SPD Awards.  Worth is a bi-monthly financial publication a bi-monthly financial publication; the goal was to make each issue a collectable and treasured object.
