STEVEN SALERNO ILLUSTRATION: THREE NEW PICTURE BOOKS ON THE WAY!

Steven Salerno’s vibrant illustration career included three new children’s books releasing in 2018, all very different and each a treasure unto itself.  “Tim’s Goodbye” (Farrar Straus Giroux) which Steve also wrote, is a story crafted around the loss of a beloved pet.

“PASS GO And Collect $200 –The Real Story of How MONOPOLY was Invented” (Henry Holt & Company) tells how Lizzie Magie invented the basic game concept in 1903, and how years later Charles Darrow contributed streamlined changes that led to its broad popularity and success.

“PRIDE- The Story of Harvey Milk and the Rainbow Flag” (Random House) is the story of San Francisco politician and early gay activist Harvey Milk, who was murdered in 1978, including his role in the creation of the colorful iconic Rainbow flag.
