JASON SEILER COVERS PROGRESSIVE GROCER

Jason Seiler's skills as a traditional portrait painter were put to the test in this cover illustration for Progressive Grocer magazine. As straightforward as the assignment seems, the reference he was given to work from was low res photos with poor lighting and mismatched color.


"The challenge here was to come up with poses and then draw and paint the two women together with same lighting and so on, and bring it all home together to feel like one cohesive image," says Jason. "There's so much more to this cover than an illustration of two business women looking straight forward at the viewer... That is part of the fun for me what keeps me interested!"
