LAURA WATSON'S NEW KIDS' BOOK ABOUT INCLUSIVITY AND FRIENDSHIP

Out today from Scholastic Canada, "I Can, Too!" is a wonderful story, illustrated by Laura Watson, about a new friendship between two children with diverse abilities, that shines a much-needed spotlight on kids who use special gear to navigate the world. Available in bookstores and online today!

"The challenge as an illustrator was learning about how all the adaptive equipment the main character uses actually works," explains Laura, "And depicting it in a way that would make sense to other children who use it. It was a true collaboration with the author, who also consulted on the equipment, and was inspired to write the book by her daughter, who was born with spina bifida."
