Kathryn Rathke was commissioned by the Yiddish Book Center to illustrate portraits of two great comedians, Fyvush Finkel and Shane Baker.  “I watched videos of both men to familiarize myself, which was of course great fun,” says Kathryn.   (more)

Kathryn Rathke’s new client in Saudi Arabia, Leo Burnett – Jeddah, sent her a photo of the packaging illustrations she created for them earlier this year. The image uses a continual line to connect the mother, through a bowl of delicious looking food, with the rest of the family. (more)

Kathryn Rathke somehow found herself with two owl related illustration jobs on her hands recently. The first was for a logo for Little Owl Urns, which needed a logo to imprint on the bottoms of their ceramic and wooden urns created for beloved pets. (more)

Kathryn Rathke worked for three years with Tesser Agency on the rebranding portraiture process for the classic Wendy’s logo. Starting in March, the updated logo will start appearing on newly built and renovated restaurants. “I am delighted to have been able to add a cute, lively spark to an American icon,” says Kathryn.
