JON KRAUSE ILLUSTRATION: MACHINE DRIVEN MARKET

Jon Krause created a series of bull market illustrations for the cover and interior feature story of this week’s Barron's magazine. The article discusses the machine-driven market, and how computers now make 4 out of every 5 stock picks.

“These were done by first drawing the bull and gridding out the topography of its form, then using Letraset to rub down those 1's and 0's at the converging points on the grid,” explains Jon. “After it was scanned, each number had to be individually distorted to make it look like they were wrapping around the bulls form.”
