JAMES FRYER ILLUSTRATION: HI, NEIGHBOR!

James Fryer shares his latest illustrations for the “House & Home” section of the Financial Times newspaper, referencing three different property law articles focused on problems with neighbors. The first shows how a neighbor’s messy garden was hindering the sale of the house next door.

You may find yourself in big trouble if you lie about your neighbors when trying to sell your house. If you paint a picture of them being the best folks in the world (when in fact they are noisy, sloppy party animals) the law could catch up with you.

Illustration three shows how annoyed and appalled a person was when his neighbors were granted permission to build a turreted loft extension. And then to rub salt into the wound he was told that the builders would have to use his property to stage their work, and to gain access to the job site next door!
