Navina Chhabria celebrates the underappreciated beauty of turnips in the winter months. "I love how they feel when I hold them- Rough, yet smooth. They smell sweet and like fresh earth. The purple markings are absolutely gorgeous!" she says. "We cook them in warming spices and tomatoes to make a tangy curry. Nourishing and so satisfying. You can tell, I love going to the farmers market. Being close to the earth and people who grow my food feeds my soul."
