PETER ARKLE COVERS THE ANTI-WAR WALL

Peter Arkle's intrepid reportage illustration gig for Popeye (the Japanese magazine for City Boys) this time involved observing people writing on an anti-war wall on the corner of Houston and Allen streets in lower Manhattan.

"Someone painted the boards around a closed store with the Ukrainian flag and hung marker pens on strings for people to write their messages with," explains Peter. "It lasted for about a day and then got painted over with giant graffiti tags covering everything..."
