CHANELLE NIBBELINK COVERS THE CLASSICS

Chanelle Nibbelink explores illustration for book publishing with a couple of children's classics. First, The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter. "For this cover, I really wanted to use the rabbit’s silhouette as a holding device for all the decorative garden elements described in the story’s setting," says Chanelle, "I had so much fun playing with the negative and positive space in this composition."

 

For her visual interpretation of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, Chanelle goes for a decorative, playful look to emulate the whimsical and chaotic nature of the story:
