TIM O'BRIEN'S AWARD-WINNING SILVER LINING

Tim O'Brien's deeply personal oil painting, "Silver Lining Cloud," has earned him a "Best in Show" award from Communication Arts Illustration Annual. It was also selected to appear in American Illustration's AI42 Book and exhibition, along with his ripped-from-the-headlines cover illustration for New York Magazine.

"It is crucial to recognize that American Illustration, like most other illustration competitions, did not allow Ai images into their competition. Artists made their images with energy and with their own minds, hearts, and hands," says Tim. "Ai is a solution in search of a problem. We are affordable creators, have had a more diverse workforce in the past few years, and are always ready to collaborate. If you're providing a space for Ai in your practice, your feed, reconsider that. If you're 'playing' with it, take up chess. Support human artists. It's easy to do."
