TAYLOR CALLERY ILLUSTRATES CONFLICT INNOCENCE

Taylor Callery's personal work in response to the war in Ukraine focuses on his emotional response to the refugee mothers and children who are fleeing the Ukraine, and the sacrifice these innocent families are making to survive at all costs. "The war has forced millions of people and families to separate - leaving behind the husbands, fathers, sons, and daughters to defend their independence and freedoms against the Russian onslaught.," says Taylor. "The hope is that this image brings a real sense to what's happening, and to reflect on the resilience, heart, and fighting spirit of the Ukrainian people. My intent was to connect emotionally to, what I can't even begin to imagine, is the struggle of the most innocent people who are unfortunately attached to an unwanted war on their homeland."
