LAURA MARR FOR JULIA CHILD MUSEUM EXHIBITION

Laura Marr was commissioned by the Virginia Museum of History and Culture to create a stylized portrait of the beloved American celebrity chef Julia Child for an upcoming exhibition which opens March 16, 2024. The client requested an all-vector portrait so elements could be pulled from the artwork and used in a variety of media by the in-house design department. The artwork will be used on print advertising, signage, exhibit way-finding, and for retail merchandise.

Laura created additional artwork for use on a wider range of retail merchandise for the museum store; this line art logo uses Paul Child's original badge concept that he created for his wife Julia, and expands on it with whimsical French folk art embellishment.
